Image Interpretation

The gallbladder in this patient was over distended with a 1.5 x 2.0 cm vascular mass that was deriving from the gallbladder wall. The center and base of the mass revealed a 3 mm vessel with significant vascularity throughout the mass. This appears to be isolated.

DX

Highly vascular gallbladder mass. This appears isolated. Suspect carcinoma or other neoplasia.

Outcome

Three view chest radiographs and immediate cholecystectomy and common bile duct lavage would be warranted
