Distal small intestinal foreign body with obstructive pattern. Soft fabric type material is suspected.
The stomach was dilated with fluid. This continued into an obstructive pattern throughout the upper small intestine with regional inflammation that was associated with variable bowel thickening. Distal small intestinal foreign body was noted and measured 4.57 cm with progressive shadowing. Mural intestinal wall thickening was noted. Gastrointestinal biopsies are recommended at the time of surgery. Chronic inflammatory disease is suspected with minor potential intestinal lymphoma.
