A 12-year-old MN DSH cat was presented for acting hungry but not eating, polyuria, and progressive weight loss. The only significant abnormality on physical examination was a thickened intestine.

Sonographic Differential Diagnosis

Diffuse abdominal intestinal mass with lymphadenopathy and extension into the omentum.

Image Interpretation

The abdomen in this patient presented a diffuse and hypoechoic intestinal mass with associated lymphadenopathy and omental remodeling. A minor amount of free fluid was noted prior to any sampling. Pleural effusion was noted through the diaphragm.

DX

Intestinal lymphoma

Outcome

The owner declined chemotherapy and opted to treat with prednisone until quality of life diminishes.
