Sonographic Differential Diagnosis

Pancreatic neoplasia (carcinoma), necrosis, pancreatitis, nodular hyperplasia.

Image Interpretation

A mixed-hypoechoic, ill-defined mass was present in the region of the left pancreatic limb.

DX

Exocrine pancreatic neoplasia

Outcome

The patient was euthanized due to poor response to therapy and poor prognosis.

22-gauge US-guided FNA demonstrated well-differentiated exocrine pancreatic neoplasia.
