- Female, neutered at six months of age and no history of estrus
- 6 years now
- History of nephrectomy 3 year ago
- Patient is fine, ultrasound only for checkup
- Found this structure in the topographic region of the right kidney
- No motility
- I was able to isolate right adrenal cranial to this structure
- What differential diagnoses would you put in the report?

Adams

Looks like right hydroureter
Looks like right hydroureter I wouild check the sx report to see if they removed the ureter as well as the kidney. Otherwise this is residual right uterine horn maybe but if thats residual right ovary cranially then should be having heat signs. Really nothing else does this in this region that I can think of. Looks like it needs to be removed though.
Sise note aside from this history stone movers do this fyi stricturing the ureter on passage then chronic hydronephrosis til it shrinks to nothing and this is what you have left.
Thanks Eric! I had these two
Thanks Eric! I had these two differentials in mind, excellent side note :), i recommended sx, I’ll post the results here 🙂
