Renal and bladder TCC?

Sonopath Forum

Renal and bladder TCC?

  • 12 year old Tibetan Terrier with vague signs of not quite right and mild non-regenerative anaemia.
  • The bladder apex was thickened and irregular. There was a moderate SL LN enlargement. The cranial pole of the left kidney had an irregular hypoechoic/acechoic avascular lesion. There is also an associated structure which I think is a cavitatoty LN.
  • Does this look like TCC? Or could it be infected cyst and cystitis? Owner has declined sampling but a urinalysis has been submitted.

renal cyst may have sepsis in

renal cyst may have sepsis in it, LN cysts not usually neoplastic but may have sepsis, polypoid bladder likely age related or cystitis and prominent u pap hyperplasia ot the right u pap. They do this if moving stones periodically or with chronic inflammation. can’t rule out tcc but i drop it lower on the list. Needle and culture the LN and renal cyst if accessible.

Urinalysis pending.

That’s great that neoplasia less likely.
