Hello,
this is the same GSP – 9 months old hermaphrodite that was neutered as cryptorchid and then later had OVH for pyometra
Now we are trying to figure out why he is incontinent . This dog can urinate – normal episodes of good stream but also intermittent incontinence . We ruled out uroliths/ UTI, C/S was negative
To me it looks like both ureters are in the Cysto-urethral junction but do not know what the pelvic structure is . I do suspect a diverticulae / possible scrotum type structure ? that communicates with urethra as it is filled with anechoic fluid – urine .
Any ideeas ? based on these images can we confirm no ectopic ureter ( we also did a excretory urogram but U/S images are more rewarding in my opinion )

i do not see an ect ureter
i do not see an ect ureter and u pap jets appear normal – nice doppler 🙂 You are seeing fluid accumulation in the deep vaginal vestibule/urine pooling. Speculum to the vaginal vestibule warranted. You can see colon in far field deviated from the vaginal fluid acccumulation and urethra in the far field. The genetics were certainly confused when putting this pet together 🙂
Yes. Thank you. only
Yes. Thank you. only cystoscopy would work as this dog has a penis
What an interesting case!

wondering if this “deep
wondering if this “deep vaginal vestibule/urine pooling- structure” will involute in time after OVH ? anybody knows? anybody had a simmilar case in the past ?
The reason why I’m asking is because the structure was initial in the abdomen – cranial part of the pelvis canal and now it is visible only in the deep pelvic canal ? Wondering if it’s dynamic or actually involuting ….
