Pancreatitis and caval thrombus?

I’m relatively new to SDEP, and wanted to send this case out, but the owner declined at the moment because she just decided to bring him to the E. clinic for hosp, fluids, etc.  I narrowed down my questions/concerns to the these 2.

  • 13 yr old, MN Poodle mix
  • Suspected Cushing’s with borderline LDDS test a year ago
  • ADR, PU/PD, obese, vague GI signs x 3 weeks.
  • Clinically is acting fairly normal
  • Extremely elevated Amylase/Lipase, abnormal cPLI, Liver enzymes increasing, BUN/Creat mildly elevated

Does there appear to be a thrombus in the Vena Cava at the beginning of the first clip?

In the second clip, is that the common bile duct?  And at the end of the clip, is that the body of the pancreas causing the mottled/nodularish pattern?

Thank you so much!  Karen Ebersole

EL

First clip I see the cvc but

First clip I see the cvc but not the pv. The second clip I’m seeing benign hepatopathy and normal pancreas and duodenum.

With the combination of pupd and possible cushings and ADR maybe check a full cns exam for potential pituitary macroadenoma.
