pancreatic mass?

This cat presented for anorexia,vomiting green,febrile as noted by house call vet. He was weak ,dehydrated on presentation here. He had been treated with depo convenia by house call vet. Imaging 11/26 in the region of the right pancreatic limb painful,mass-like effect. cat treated with fluids ,enrofloaxacin cerenia. Improved now eating, remains weak. today hyperglycemic at 317 neutrphils  at 14k no other remarkable changes. the imaging today allows a better view. I have video of the region. I am considering fna of the lesion.

Would FNA the area as your

Would FNA the area as your two important etiologies are neoplasia and granulomatous reaction secondary to pancreatitis. With the glucose at 317, would also consider secondary diabetes mellitus.

  You are in the right

  You are in the right location for such a mass but they are not common. The age of the patient is important as well.

  Due to the local reactivity and inflammation they are often adhered to the stomach wall. Take a look at the attached images. I believe that this is similar to what we are observing in your patient. Only a FNA or biopsy will confirm this. Either way it is not good.
