“New” eye lesion in dog.

“New” eye lesion in dog.

  • 13-yr-old MN Boston Terrier with history of corneal edema, being treated with Prednisolone Acetate Ophthalmic with some improvement.
  • While owner was applying drops in a new area of the house with better lighting, he noticed an area of color change in the left eye.
  • How long it has been there is unknown as this was noticed with the recent clearing of the corneal edema.

Has anyone seen this type of lesion before? Picture quality is not stellar, but any thoughts on it would be appreciated. What I am wondering about is the lesion to the right of the circular pure white reflection on the left.  Top right-hand side near to edge of the iris, near sclera.

Not an ophtho, but it’s going to be hard to say given the pics. Would help to get a side view to determine whether this is on the cornea or on the lens. Was the eye stained to look for ulcers? That would worry me in a boston on pred drops…
