more gall bladder dilemas

12 year old MN Sheltie (12 kg) with hx hypertriglyceridemia.  Well controled on low fat diet (Sci Diet Lite) and 1200 mg omega 3 fatty acids.  Has been on ursodiol 62.5 mg BID  since February, when originally identifying moderate amount of hyperechoic gravity dependent debris in GB w/ mildly thickened GB wall.  Beginning of this month, rescan of GB revealed images similar to what we see today, two weeks later (both worse than what I saw in February).  He has been on metronidazole and Baytril since beginning of this month. This is a 2 hour post prandial scan.

  1. Th gb has reduce a bunch and

Th gb has reduce a bunch and has the sludge still. We know now that the gb works, its a bit sludgy but not a mucocele in any way and not likely causing any issues. Treatment is debatable but wont hurt with ursodiol and its a sheltite so there is a predisposiiton. But not sure any tx is really needed here. Maybe a sit and watch in a couple of months recheck it.
