Mediastinal mass?

Sonopath Forum

  • 15 year old FN Bichon Frise with collapse after coughing and reacts to being picked up by ventral thorax
  • Sounds like a tussive syncopy but there appears to be a cranial mediastinal mass on thoracic rads, agreed?
  • Cardiac exam was normal and I could not find a cranial mediastinal mass on ultrasound
  • Any tips on checking for these? I have seen and aspirated these previously but was frustrated with this case
  • I have attaced a blurry video just incase I am missing something…
  • Thanks in advance

Yes the positioning is not

Yes the positioning is not ideal, I did not see the rads until after the procedure. I was suspicious from the rads and worried I was missing something on the scan.

I have offered to repeat the scan but will request repeat rads first.

Thank you both.
