Mass Left Cranial/Mid Abdomen

Woody is a 14 year old Diabetic w/ a long history of Collapsing Trachea/Pulmonary Issues.

Presented today for labored breathing and what the owner describes as a cross between collapse and seizure (I believe collapse)

Lungs are wet on both radiographs and U/S and it looks like Rt. Sided Heart Dz & Pulmonary Hypertension…But when I was looking at the liver I caught this in the area of the Left Pancreas…

It doesn’t appear associated with the spleen but I’m suspicious it may be w/ the liver. My thoughts are either a mass or chronic pancreatic changes…I was hoping someone could give me a more seasoned eyeball of this.

Thanks in advance

There is right heart

There is right heart enlargement and dilated hepatic veins consistent with elevated right heart pressures..PHT and cor pulmonale. I dont see ascites yet in the images. A comet tail signs is on the diaphragm consistent with caudal pulmonary infiltrates..effusion, microconsolidation or microthrombi, etc

There is a mass in the mid to left ventrocaudal liver. Could be benign or aggressive…but looks kinda aggressive to me. FNA would be suggested initially.

Thanks,

I was hoping for maybe some chronic pancreatic pathology but it looked kind of ominous.

The mass superimposes the

The mass superimposes the left panc but if you follow the capsule around the mass you can see its attached to the liver. The HV are dilated and with that right heart and comet tails in the lungs I would worry about PTE or other alveolar disease and collapse from pulm hypertension. Need TR velocities. Left heart is normal and not a player so its lung, right heart and that live rmass to focus on.
