Lymph node?

Sonopath Forum

  • 10 year old MN Springer Spaniel with a mixed echogenicity cavitatory splenic mass that appeared like a haemangiosarcoma
  • Also a round/encapsulated mixed echogenicity structure adjacent to mass (kidneys and adrenal glands ruled out). It appeared solitary, do you think this is a lymph node?

If not associated with the

If not associated with the splenic mass, it may be a metastatic lymph node or area of omental metastasis. It has a similar sonographic appearance to the splenic mass which makes regional metastasis probable if it cant be attached to the splenic mass.
