  • Other kidney has medullary rim sign
  • Has anyone tried drainage and ethanol eblation in these cases?

I’ve drained and cultured but never ablated. These are not usually a clinical issue unless harboring infection or rupture btu they usually just live with them fine.

As Eric says, usually not a clinical issue. I would be extremeley reluctant to use ethanol ablation as if may result in renal damage.

I was inclined to leave but a medic has recommended drainage to prevent compression of normal kidney.

Compression should only occur

Compression should only occur with an expanding cyst. Would recommend keeping an eye on it by means of ultrasound.
