Isoechoic nodule within renal pelvis

Hi there,

Just wanted to know what do the experts think about this nodule within the renal pelvis. Is it significant?

My differentials include blood clot, neoplasia, hyperplastic tissue?

Cat is a 19 year old cat with Chronic renal disease and possible Conn’s syndrome.(diagnostics pending).

I would be concerned about

I would be concerned about neoplasia. Last kidney I had that looked like this ended up being a TCC.

You could do an fna into the pelvis 25g… I doubt it would trail beyond the kidney with all that cortex. Boy one thing about old cats is they make for long reports with lots of ?? 🙂

Better not wait to long. This

Better not wait to long. This guy is 19. Even if he did have a mass- would you put a 19 year old cat through surgery. Got to weigh the risk/reward equation on this one.
