Hyperechoic nodule

Sonopath Forum

This is my first post so please bear with me if it doesn’t work well….

Daisy is a 13 year old FS heeler mix.  She has a recent onset of possible polyuria and panting.  She has severe elbow djd so some of it may be from pain.  ALP is elevated.

-Hepatomegaly and significant splenomegaly noted on rads.  Also large number of ingested rocks throughout colon.

-Generalized hepatomegaly and splenomegaly noted on U/S, single hypoechoic splenic nodule noted (unchanged for past 2 years)

-Bilateral adrenomegaly.

-Bilateral adrenomegaly.

-Large amount moderate organized biliary sludge with no evidence of surrounding inflammation.

-ACTH stim. testing is pending.

My question is a about a hyperechoic nodule located just caudal to the right renal artery.  I don’t think it’s necessarily of great clinical significance but was wondering what it might be.  Re-watching it now, I think I see the renal lymph node where it is suppsed to be so I’m not sure what this might be.  Hopefully my clip will attach.

Thanks!

Suzanne

This looks like a remodeled
This looks like a remodeled echogenic lymph node adjacent to the aorta and dont think its pathological and can always recheck in a few weeks if concerned. They often get cystic here too and I see it in recurrent pyelonephritis dogs/uti. This looks caudal to the left rneal artery and the adrenals will be cranial to the left renal artery even though they are about the same size.

Welcome to the forum!!!

I see a repeat of the still so if you thought to load a video there is an upload spot for stilss (jpegs and such) and another for video (avi, mpeg_) Just look at the list next to the upload icon to see which file types are accepted when uploading. Nice first post!!

Thanks for the response.

Thanks for the response.

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong on the clip upload.  My clips have the -mov extension which appears to be accepted.  I followed the directions and did get the blue (videoembed ####) message within the body of my post.  My understanding was that it would magically convert into a viewable clip. What do I need to do to fix it?

Thanks,

I have another case I thought

I have another case I thought about presenting but I’m not sure how to change my clip uploads.  I was waiting for technical services to answer first.  Do I need to do something different so I can get an opinion on other cases?

Thanks,

Suzanne
