gastric f. body

Sonopath Forum

Hello,

Hello,

These images were taken during a “cysto”…( the probe slipped..) This is a fully vaccinated 14 weeks Bichon that came in for vomiting- only 2 times 2 days apart; still has a good apetite and looking good. Owner Ok-ed only bloodwork for now ( results pending) . To me this looks like a non obstructive gastric f. body. I’m planning to do a complete abdominal US but wondering about your opinion on this images.

This dog was feed 4 hours

This dog was feed 4 hours before visit and canned food. Guess can be a treat or similar but very suspicios of a f. body with that round interface and shadow. If still present tommorow would you make this dog vomit or gastrotomy?

Thanks

I would see what it looks

I would see what it looks like tomorrow if free floating then vomiting induction should be fine because not sharp edged but if embedded in pylorus then needs sx.
