ectoppic ureter?


this is a 7 month old Tibetian Mastiff. The pup has a history of urinary leakage noticed since 9 weeksof age now more obvious to owner with large pools of urine in sleep.Pe normal, ua normal. u/s renal normal. i do not get many channces to look for ectopic uretersbut i am suspcious  so I’m sending so video. If it is does anyone know what the current treatment is , non-surgical??,interventional??thanks

    What sex is this dog? Is their leakage during the day when awake? 

    I am not doubting an ectopic ureter.

    You may also want to consider a persistent hymen at the junction of the vagina and vestibule where the paramesonephric duct joins the urogenital sinus. incomplete perforation of the hymen can cause an annular stricture or a vertical septum or band. Affected bitches most often have breeding difficulties, chronic vaginitis or urinary incontinence (pooling of urine behind the band).

    Just another thought.

    Regarding treatment – surgical intervention is required as medical mangement is ineffective.

    Traditional surgery and endoscopy guided laser ablation are the options depending where you are in the world. At AMC in NYC Berent and Weiss initiated the EGLA of ect ureters if you happen to be near there.
