Prostatic mass with bilateral ureteral obstruction in a 12 year old MN Dachshund

The patient is a 12-year-old MN Dachshund, who was presented for dribbling urine. The dog was unwilling or unable o urinate on leash. A urinary catheter passed easily. The rectal exam was unremarkable.

Chronic cystitis, cystic calculi and possible bladder mass in a 12 year old Shepherd mix

A 12-year-old Shepherd mix dog was presented for evaluation of an 18-month history of urinary incontinence and hematuria. Urinalysis showed normal specific gravity, hematuria, and pyuria.

Pyelonephritis and interstitial nephrosis in a 16 year old FS cat

A 16-year-old spayed female cat was presented for evaluation of hematuria and inappropriate urination. On urinalysis, an inappropriate specific gravity (1.014) and hematuria were evident. The only abnormality on blood work was mild anemia. 

Polypoid bladder wall changes in a 9 year old FS Welsh Corgi

A 9-year-old spayed female Welsh Corgi dog was presented for evaluation for recurrent hematuria. On urinalysis, inappropriate SG (1.020) and proteinuria were present. Urine culture revealed Acinetobacter, Pseudomonas, and Enterobacter; the latter two were antibiotic resistant strains. 

Transitional cell carcinoma diagnosed via surgical biopsy of bladder apex in a 14 year old MN Poodle

A 14-year-old neutered male Poodle dog was presented for evaluation of chronic hematuria with a history of calcium oxalate calculi and evidence of urinary tract infection. 

Ectopic ureter, hydronephrosis, hydroureter, and ureterocele in a 3 year old MN Labrador Retriever

A 3-year-old neutered male Labrador Retriever dog was presented for evaluation of  decreased appetite, possible polyuria and polydypsia, taking longer to urinate than normal, and hematuria. On urinalysis, isosthenuria (1.016), 3+ protein, white blood cells, and red blood cells were present. Stress leukogram was evident on CBC, but serum chemistry was within normal limits.

A 4-year-old SF DSH was presented for evaluation of  dysuria, stranguria, and hematuria over a 5-day period that had not responded to antibiotics. Urinalysis revealed pH of 8, 2+ protein and 3+ blood.

A 12-year-old SF Golden retriever was presented for evaluation of chronic intermittent urinary tract infections over a 4 year-period. Different bacteria and sensitivity have been cultured. More recently there was recurring hematuria. On physical examination the vulva was recessed with matted hair. Urinalysis showed proteinuria and bacilli.
