cavitated lesions in liver lobe

This dog is a long-term diabetic who was diagnosed with pneumonia and seems to be recovering from that. However she has this going on in her liver. She has moderately elevated liver enzymes.

we are seeing:

US – GB sl thickened hyperechoic walls with grav depend sludge
Pancreas body hypoechoic with hyperechoic surrounding tissue (pancreatitis)
Left Liver lobes as seen below. Right and central lobes wnl.
Rest exam unremarkable.

Any impressions on what this could be in the liver?

hepatic abscess or biliary

hepatic abscess or biliary carcinoma possible… polycystic liver with secondary abscessation maybe? drain fluid filled pockets and cytospin the sediment and culture and 25g fna of the pericystic parenchyma. Looks resectable wiht left lobectomy but CT best to define that. Diabetics are predisposed to hepatic abscessation in my experience.

With abscessation would expect leukocytosis/neutrophilia and possibly pyrexia, unless the peumonia treatment has dampend the whole response.
