Cat, possible lymphoma

Sonopath Forum

Cat, possible lymphoma

  • 12 yr. old MN DSH
  • Not eating well, weight loss, muscle wasting
  • Abd US shows diffuse muscularis thickening in the SI and stomach
  • No enlarged LN found
  • ? involvement of spleen and L kidney

I told the O full thickness biopsy of SI was the most likely to give a definitive dx (lyphoma vs IBD).  I mentioned that FNA of the kidney and spleen is possible, and less invasive, but also less likely to give a definitive dx.

What do you think of the kidney and spleen?  Potential for lymphoma dx w/FNA?

Thank you!
