Case sends to sonopath for review & Logic XP vs Logic E

Joe Sonographer asks:

” I have a Logic book XP and would like to send cases to you. I can image all the abdominal organs including the adrenals and portal hilus. what is your opinion on my machine and how may I send you cases.”

EL: So you are interested in sending me cases for interpretation and collaborative efforts. I understand that you have a Logic book XP. I recommend sending in standard DICOM for this machine as the jpeg/avi work flow is too tedious for you. But basically with my system you can use any machine that offloads the case in jpeg/avi, mpeg or DICOM. The transfer process however is much more streamlined on the Logic e compared to the Logic XP (not to mention significant jump in image quality and processing speed) should you upgrade. I know the XP very well and scanned with it for 3 years. p3 DICOM clips and stills are fine.

The system I use to have cases sent to me and developed over a couple of years ago streamlines everything and gives you freedom to send to whoever you want via an email address so I don’t lock you into sending to my server and then you are obligated to use me or my associates to interpret.

Just go to www.yousendit.com and sign up for a $9.99/month acct and that lets you send an entire folder of material (US images, rads, photos of bloodwork UA whatever…) up to 2 gb in 1 click. Download the yousendit express software for Mac or PC from “applications” on the yousendit site. You just need the email address of the person you are sending to. In this case, eric.lindquist@sonopath.com, and click “folder” on the bottom for the send screen and browse to the folder where the images are, and click. Yousendit zips it for you and you have to do nothing else.

I interpret the case within 12-24 hours routine, email you a quick summary followed by an official report within 24 hours from the time I get the case. If it is more complicated I will email or call you directly. i will include tips to improve your scanning if needed as well.

Stat cases I read and provide an informal email within 4 hours of receiving the folder and send an official report within 6-8 hours but often less.
