Pulmonic Stenosis Severe

Signalment: 6 month old Doli Apso dog. History: High intensity heart murmur was heard by the referring Vet during routine examination. The owners had not noticed any symptoms. Clinical examination: Grade 6/6 heart murmur with a maximum over the left heart base, radiating to the right thoracic wall.

Pulmonis Stenosis Mild

Signalment: Border Terrier, 6 years old, male History: Heart murmur was heard by the referring Vet during a routine examination. The owner never registered any symptoms Clinical examination: Systolic heart murmur over the left heart base 2/6,; pulse, capillary refill time, respiration normal. sinus rhythm on ECG without any axis deviation.


MVD & DCM

This is the case of a 12 year old doberman pinscher which was referred because of dyspnoe and a high intensity heart murmur. In the video you can easily see how the dog has to work hard at breathing and how he is standing turning his elbows outward. Note that the dog was not coughing!


Splenic Abscess

A 10-year-old male bull dog was presented for acute onset listlessness and having a tense abdomen. Abnormalities on clinical examination were a palpable splenic mass and pyrexia. Peripheral blood smear evaluation showed left shift leukocytosis, which was confirmed on full blood count.


Mycobacterial Pancreatitis

A 5-year-old castrated male German shepherd dog was referred for evaluation of unexplained hypercalcaemia. The owner’s chief complaint was polyuria/polydipsia. On laboratory testing isosthenuria, monocytosis, hypercalcaemia, and azotaemia was identified.


Hypertrophic Osteopathy

A 5-year-old male boxer dog was referred for evaluation of progressive lameness, poor appetite, and weight loss. Laboratory testing had been non-diagnostic. Abnormalities on clinical examination were weight loss, a stiff-choppy gait when walking, and firm swelling of the distal limbs with discomfort on palpation.
