Bladder Wall Thickening

Milo is a 12 year old DSH with a chronic intermittent signs of LUTD.

I was hoping to get your opinion on this bladder wall thickening. Neoplastic or not?

Almost 1 cm in thickness- but I don’t see loss of the ” Curviliner” pattern here. I have cines if that will help.

I did not do Power doppler

Thanks

Agree that there is no loss

Agree that there is no loss ofthe curvilinear pattern but as it is very thickened would not exclude neoplasia – dfferentials would be neoplasia, chronic cystitis, granulomatous reaction. Needs a biopsy.

It looks like you could

It looks like you could ablate the ventral wall if the still image is representative of the extent of the lesion and the urethra is clean. Older cats tend to have neoplasia whereas young to middle aged cats tend to have intersitial cystitis creating neoplastic criteria lesions so my concern woud be neoplasia here in a 12 year old if no history of flutd in the past. Sonmetimes you can get a good cyto read on a spin down of the urine and slide out the sediment may be something interesting there.
