Adrenal nodule?

Sonopath Forum

  • 5 year old MN medium sized dog with a single episode of syncopy
  • Arrhythmia noted at the time, bloods showed high HCT, normal protein levels. This was repeatable.
  • Echo normal. ECG – sinus rhythm with very intermittent single VPCs
  • Abdominal exam normal but querying if there is a subtle nodule of the cranial pole of the right adrenal?

There are indistinct

There are indistinct heterogenous and subtle nodular changes in the right adrenal but nonspecific. I would check blood pressure on this dog when it is calm, like first thing when it comes in the hospital without an exam, to see if there is evidence of hypertension. It may be nothing and the VPCs may be unrelated but increased catecholemines can cause VPCs.
