CT of the skull and TL spine –
A strongly enhancing, irregular shaped spherical mass is seen dorsal to the sphenoidal bone in the sellar region with broad base to the bone. The mass lesion measures 10 x 15 x 20 mm. There is a marked mass effect on the di- and mesencephalon emphasizing the thalamus and hypothalamus which are displaced dorsally and laterally as well as caudally. There is crowding of brain parenchyma within the caudal cranial fossa with subtentorial and foraminal herniation. The lateral ventricles and their respective rostral olfactory recesses are mildly dilated. In the region of the major duodenal papilla a 1.8 mm in size mineralized body is present
The mineralized body in the region of the major duodenal papilla may be a
cholecystolith within the common bile duct. In the current study there is no evidence of
biliary obstruction. Consider an abdominal ultrasound examination to determine the
exact location of the calculus.
Degenerative intervertebral disc disease caudal thoracic spine, no evidence of
compressive myelopathy
