Mineralizing prostate. Prostatic mass. Strongly suggestive for prostatic carcinoma.
The prostate was enlarged (measuring 2.21 cm) and mineralized with microcystic changes. Pericapsular inflammatory pattern was also noted.
If prostatic carcinoma is confirmed, then chemotherapeutic intervention and/or urethral stent placement can be considered.
Prostatic disease – neoplasia, abscess. Disease of lower urinary tract – chronic bacterial cystitis, urolith, neoplasia, granulomatous cystitis.
Ultrasound-guided FNA or traumatic catheterization was recommended.
