TRICUSPID VALVE DYSPLASIA vs Infective Endocarditis

-2 year old, FE feline-(chinchilla). Presented for ruling out pyo post delivery of 4 kittens 10 days prior. Kittens died all at 1 week. Queen presents lethargy. No obvious pyo.

– Echocardio: what do you think? More TVD/tricuspid malformation or IE? No other congenital abnormalities found.

For me IE is much more likely here. I had a similar feline patient in which IE was confirmed.  I woudl recommend blood culture and IV antibiotics. What about the WBC?

Thank you Peter, in kind of the same idea. Blood cultures were advised. I have never seen a TBD before and I don’t see many images of it. So based on description and severity i would think more IE. Based on bibliography IE is just so rare particularly on tticuspid valve.
If IE is confirmed…could the kittens have died of that aswell? Or that would just be too much assuming?
