traumatic hernia?

MN middle aged DSH cat has history of trauma (possibly run by car) 3 weeks ago. Xray showed pubic sinfisis fracture and caudal vertebrae fracture. treated conservatively with cage rest and pain relief. No signs of urinary issues nor swellings seen at that time.

eating, drinking urinating and defecating normally now but on a review presented a swelling in left caudal groing. Appears soft and slightly hard in some areas at touch, bruised. Skin is not inflammed (unlikely self trauma).

US: encapsulated large fluid subcutaneously (seroma/hematoma?)and some soft tissue opacity, it is unclear to me whether abdominal wall is intact or not. I do not see clear intestinal loops in the mass area but there is some opacity that may be mesentery.Bladder appears small and I can follow urethra nicely but the caudal aspect (transition from abd cavity to pelvic area) appears very “messy” to me.

Can anybody help me interpreting these videos, please? Does it appear to have any intestinal loop in there? but if so, cat wouldnt be passing urine and feces normally…I think there is either fat reactive tissue or mesentery, but not intestinal loops…I can follow abdominal wall to the very caudal end and then At some point I see large vessels going out of the groin but ofcourse that is also normal for the femoral vessels…I imagine that the pelvic fracture healing process will also give me a lot of “messy” image. Alternatively, what else can i do? Patient is still in clinic so I can potentially re-scan for a better view.

Your comments are very much appreciated.

Thanks.
