Strong shadowing echogenic interface in a Rabbit

  • 7 year old mn Lop presented for a one month history of weight loss and lethargy.
  • ALT elevated at 113, ALKP Normal
  • Abdominal ultrasound shows normal liver, spleen, kidneys, and intestines.  There is, however a strong shadowing echogenic interface in the stomach body an pylorus.
  • My rule outs include trichobezar, FB, atypical gas pattern or possibly normal for rabbit?
  • Would love to hear your thoughts.  Hate to push for exploratory when rabbits don’t do so great.
