Refurbished Ultrasound Machine

Hello guys!

I created this topic to be an add-on to EL articles “Purchasing an Ultrasound Machine”, which can be read at https://sonopath.com/node/20521

  1. Who of you ever bought or used a refurbished ultrasound?
  2. In relation to the warranty provided by those who reconditioned, in how many months?
  3. Would they buy another reconditioned ultrasound? Did you notice a difference in image quality?

Regards,

Adams.

If properly refurbished then

If properly refurbished then the image quality should be solid and occaisonally by using different software some of them are better thna before. I have bought 2 in my lifetime and they were solid. They were GE machines. I would get at least a 6-12 month warranty and run them heavy with cases for the first 4 months. if there’s an issue you will usually see it in that time frame. One thing about the logic Es though is the depth knob often fails 6-18 months in and its usually beyond warranty and it costs 4-600$ to replace it. I havent seen this wiht the next gen but I have wiht most BT12 and BT 11’s over time.  But refurb machine sshould have already gone through this issue but be sure its not the case as you drive it hard.

Ayone else have experiences with any machine here?
