Rabbit’s uterus

Sonopath Forum

A female intact 6-year-old rabbit was presented with the complain of hyporexia and lethargy. On abdominal ultrasound, the uterus looks thickened and cystic. I don’t have much experience with the exotic pet ultrasound. Do you think that this uterus is abnormal/neoplastic? and needs to be removed? Can this be the cause of clinical signs?

Looks like endometrial cystic hyperplasia in a dog. What I can find is that it is commonly seen in unspayed female rabbits over the age of 4-5 years. Reported clinical signs are anorexia, weight loss, lethargy, and hematuria. Surgery is the only recommended treatment.
