2 year old FS mini maltese. Weighs 1.4kg
No PSS symptomathology.
Do these videos show any suggestive PSS? (sagittal and transverse palnes). Apologies for small doppler window.
Liver does appear small. Other than that, all appears normal.
Thanks for any input.

Subjectively the liver is a bit small at the pyloric angle is only < 2 cm from the diaphragm. I don’t see a shunt because you need to scan the portal hilus in long axis about 2 cm caudal from where you are. I would run a bile acid profile and if the post BA are > 80 and if there are UB stones, swollen kidneys, and renal stones look hard for the shunt.
Hee is our research on sonographic criteria for PSS from ECVIM in Tolousse a few years ago

and tons of shunts are in our archives and cases of the month including this month with a sonopod cast.
Just type in “shunt” on the basic search and you can look over tons of shunts diagnosed or ruled out by sonogram:)
