Maddie had an enucleation after presumedly being bit by another dog and sustaining injury to the globe. The region of the third eyelid gland was bruised, but the surgeon attempted to remove all of the tissue in that anatomic location. Antibiotics were given intra-op, but not continued at discharge. She developed some discharge, so antbitiotics were added on day 4 (cloudy discharge). Discharge was better on antibiotics, but has since returned. Microscopically there are neutrophils and some cocci. C&S pending.

Wondering if these images are what I would expect so see at the surgery site (about 2 weeks out), or if I should be worried about an abscess or seroma? Also some concern that some of the discharge may be from residual third eyelid gland fluid.

Definately abscess or seroma
Definately abscess or seroma and abscess most likely given the inflammatory fat pattern around it. The suspended debris, similar to what you find in a GB mucocele, is suggestive for pus.
