Kidney lesion

Sonopath Forum

  • 11 year old FN Lab presented weak, tachyardic, pale mm’s, haemoabdomen
  • Multiple splenic lesions, mildly nodular liver and heterogenou smass in contact with right kidney, do you think this mass is originating from the liver or kidney?
  • Is lymphoma most likely?
  • FNA of liver and spleen pending.

The splenic aspirates came

The splenic aspirates came back as sarcoma, probable haemangiosarcoma. The liver aspirates (of nodular area) were cellular but not neoplastic. I did not aspirate the mass in contact/extending from the right kidney, it was a difficult area to scan in this patient but I guess I should have.
