This 5 year old FS St. Bernard dog presented with a history of a previously ruptured left CCL. Exam today to evaluate the right CCL

RAD – Cardiomegaly and hyperperfusion of the lung in a 12 year old FS Maltese dog

This 12 year old FS Maltese dog presented with morning time anxiety, panting and attention seeking behavior (demanding and pawing to be held). Hx of mitral valve disease with compensation on echo (no heart meds). CCL rupture LH not repaired but current instability in LH with positive drawer and thrust. Physical Exam: BCS 7/9 4/6…

ORTHO – Bilateral stifle chronic degenerative joint disease (DJD) with cranial cruciate ligament failure in a 9 year old FS Cocker Spaniel dog

Ths 9 year old FS Cocker Spaniel presented with a hisotry of dermatitis, chronic otitis, obesity. Has had bilateral CCL suture technique for CCL ruptures June/2010 L Knee, Oct 2011 R Knee.  Physical Exam: Limping and favoring Left stifle. Palpates stable, bit of crepitus.  Reason for Ultrasound Exam: Stifle evaluation for DJD

ORTHO – Degenerative joint disease (DJD) with complete and partial cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) ruptures in both stifles in a 10 year old FS Poodle/ Shih Txu mix dog

This 10 year old FS Poodle/Shih Tzu mix had CCL surgery left stifle in 2010. Fober wire and bone anchors. Presented today with acute onset right hind lameness. Physical exam: left stifle crepitus, thickened joint, clicks with flexion/extension, slight cranial drawer. Right stifle positive cranial drawer and CTT.

ORTHO – Normal stifle cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) and meniscus with osteophyte in a 8 year old MN Australian Shepherd mix dog

This 8 year old MN Australian Shepherd mix dog has a history of a right stifle CCL tear.

ORTHO – Cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) complete rupture of the right stifle in a 6 year old MN Labrador Retriever dog

This 6 year old MN Labrador Retriever dog had TPLO surgery left stifle one year ago. Acute lameness episode one week ago right hind. Physical exam: Equivocal positive cranial drawer sign but likely positive. Hardly weight bearing on right hind leg. No significant coxofemoral pathology on radiograph.

ORTHO – Left stifle degenerative joint disease (DJD) with full cranial cruciate (CCL) rupture and likely meniscal tear in a 2 year old MN Rottweiler dog

History of bilateral CCL injury, Had TTA on right knee Dec17/15, had bilateral U/S knees Dec 11/15. Pathology in left knee also noted. Played with puppy and now limping and favoring left stifle. Physical Exam: Full Cr drawer sign- very loose left stifle, positive CTT, Now full rupture of CCL

ORTHO – Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) rupture of the right stifle with degenerative joint disease (DJD) in a Labrador Retriever mixed dog

The patient is a Labrador Retriever mixed dog who has a history of a bilateral CCL injury. TTA surgery was performed on the left stifle July 2015. 2nd TTA on the right stifle is planned. Physical exam: Positive cranial drawer, CTT, Medial buttress, no clicking CBC/Chem wnl
