The patient, a 10 year old FS Maltese, was presented for vomiting and diarrhea. On blood work she was found to have minor anemia and a WBC of 33,000.

A 6-year-old SF Cockerlier was presented for evaluation of acute vomiting and sparse haircoat. On physical examination icterus, dental disease, and tacky mucus membranes were present. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry were mild anemia, leukocytosis, lymphopenia, elevated globulins, bilirubin, and liver enzyme activity (AST 382, ALT 1546, SAP 3135).

An 8-year-old, intact male Mastiff was presented for hematuria. Blood work showed WBC 18,000 with neutrophilia, globulins 5.3, urine SP 1.052 with 3+ protein, and >50 WBCs. Radiographs revealed prostatomegaly.

A 5 year-old FS Shih Tzu was presented for intermittent vomiting one week duration, inappetance, elevated white blood cell count, two radiopaque marble size structures noted on abdominal radiographs suspected to be nephroliths or intestinal foreign body.

Carcinoma in a 13 year old FS DLH cat

A 13-year-old spayed female DLH cat was presented for evaluation of recent onset poorly controlled diabetes mellitus. Abnormalities on laboratory workup included urinary tract infection, leukocytosis with a left shift, hyperglycemia, elevated BUN and elevated phosphorus. CPL was negative.

Splenic mass in a 12 year old FS Sheltie dog

A 12-year-old spayed female Sheltie dog with a history of poor appetite over a few weeks was presented for evaluation of anorexia, lethargy, and diarrhea. Abnormalities on physical examination included dehydration, slight polypnea, and possible ascites with a non-tender abdomen. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry included leukocytosis, azotemia, and hyperkalemia. 

Splenic lymphoma in a 15 year old MN DSH cat

A 15-year-old neutered male DSH cat was presented for evaluation of polyphagia, weight loss, and severe splenomegaly. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry included leukocytosis, mild hypoalbuminemia, and an elevated BUN 42.

Pancreatic abscess in a 7 year old MN Cairn Terrier

The patient is a 7 year old neutered male canine Cairn Terrier Mix. The dog had a history of seizures, lethargy, and decreased appetite. There had been no vomiting or diarrhea.
