Sonographic Differential Diagnosis

Aggressive pancreatitis.

Image Interpretation

The pancreas was distinctly hypoechoic, irregular and swollen with hyperechoic surrounding fat, which was ill defined. The pancreatic changes are localized to the left limb and body of the pancreas.

None

Clinical Differential Diagnosis

Acute gastritis – food indiscretion, toxins, bacterial viral, foreign body.

Sampling

FNA were recommended for further definition but were not completed.
