Biliary adenocarcinoma

Sonographic Differential Diagnosis

Neoplasia was considered primarily.

Image Interpretation

Long-axis view of the left liver and falciform fat demonstrates a well-circumscribed, uniformly hyperechoic mass adjacent to the diaphragm in the cranial left liver.

Outcome

The patient was humanely euthanized after a decline in quality of life.

Clinical Differential Diagnosis

Multi-organ pathology: Neoplasia, gastroenteritis, hepatitis, pancreatitis, triad disease, gastric foreign body.

Sampling

Surgical resection was performed. Histopathology of the mass revealed biliary adenocarcinoma.
