A 13-year-old SF DSH was presented for evaluation of dysphagia and a soft tissue mass in the pharyngeal area.
Cervical mass appears to be deriving from the esophagus and deviating it. This is likely sarcoma. Ultrasound-guided FNAs are recommended.
Esophageal tumor. This appears localized. There was no significant abdominal pathology noted. However, complete abdominal exam would be ideal.
The left cervical region revealed a 2.15 cm, mixed echoic mass. The mass deviated the esophagus and appears to be deriving from the esophagus in one view. The esophagus itself was mildly thickened. Sagittal view revealed a mass that measured 3.7 x 1.45 cm. Focal mineralization was noted.
