-10 years old golden retriever, with splenic neoplasia, severe anaemia ( hct 24)
-preoperative us show normal cardiac function-just tachycardia ( i think because of the anaemia)
-i noticed in B mode a hiatus between the aortic semilunar and the tricuspid valve-I could not define a yet with doppler.
-do You think there is a real left-right shunt?
-does it have any effect to the operation or to the chemotherapy after?
Thank You!

3 responses to “Cardiac anomaly?”
Maybe it is the right
Maybe it is the right coronary artery?
It looks like a membranous
It looks like a membranous vsd or a fibrous band from late closure.. You are in good posiiton there just drop CF doppler over it and lcinically there should be a solid murmur mainly right side heart base. if no murmur then its likely a closed VSD and regardless not clinical.
