Bladder lesion

  • Incidental focal bladder lesion in an 8 year old MN JRT, no reported cystocentesis
  • It does not appear to be transmural, right lateral near apex, no lymphadenopathy
  • Could cystitis be so focal? Should I be more concerned for TCC?
  • The dog had severe gastroenteritis so will re-evaluate bladder in next couple of weeks

Cystitis can result in a focal changes. Not really looking like a TCC as does not seem to invade the wall.

Could be dependent sediment – try scaning the dog in a standing position. If not dependent and still present at the next re-evaluation would consider a catheter-assisted aspirate/biopsy as well urinalysis and culture.
