Abdominal Distention

I hate to go back in time, but I have a questions about a previous case of the month

http://sonopath.com/resources/cases-month/abdominal-distension

In video 2 is there tethering of the septal tricuspid valve or is this artifact?

In video 3 it appears that the valve might be OK but there is very little movement there. Is

that because of a small pressure differential between the R atrium and ventricle?

The septal leafleat is shortened, vegetative and teathered yes. This is visible in videos 1 & 2. In 3 its just a different angle and doesn’t look as bad but the lesion is repetitive. this shows the importance to image at different angles like different projections on a radiograph.

Excellent question

Thanks EL- I get it. I was wondering how much of the cardiac change was due to some sort of tricuspid dysplasia vs the heartworm. I realize that HW can cause pulmonary hypertension. Do you think two issues could have been in play here.
