Sonographic Differential Diagnosis

Urethral and bladder mass with concurrent bladder calculi.

Image Interpretation

The urinary bladder in this patient was comprised of a mineralizing mass that occupied the apex entering into the cystourethral junction and urethra. The mass extended at least 3.0 cm past the cystourethral junction. Periserosal inflammatory pattern was noted. Urethral expansion was approximately 1.5-2.0 cm in width. Concurrent calculi were also noted.
