Bile duct sludge vs neoplasia?

Sonopath Forum

Bile duct sludge vs neoplasia?

– geriatric cat presented for diarrhea and weight loss

– bloodwork mild elevation in SDMA, normal T4 and other parameters normal including liver enzymes

– distal CBD is dilated with a luminal hyperechoic lesion at the d-pap that also appears to involve the walls of the CBD

– could this be sludge or neoplastic invasion or can you really tell at this stage? Strange that liver enzymes are normal but this is a cat. Not sure what to do with this other than to monitor for now?

Older cats get thicker and

Older cats get thicker and dilated cbd and d paps… I think you just have really solid images here and essentially gerriatric norrmal or maybe a little sludge.
