Unusal UB lesion

Sonopath Forum

– 7 year old FS German Shephard with history of IBD presented with bloody diarrhea and an intermittent history of urinary incontinence; has been under the care of a Holistic DVM

– an unusal “puckering” for lack of better word was found in the dorsal aspect of the urinary bladder wall best seen in saggital view

– it does not appear to be a result of the colon pushing up on it and there is a hyperechoic foci at the tip that looks like it is producing a distal acoustic shadow

– this pet has no history of bladder surgery

– my plan is to repeat the scan to see if this persists

– any idea what may be causing this? I thought of a possible FB? Weird variation of urachal remnant?

Inetresting… good move on

Inetresting… good move on the doppler… Im thinking its a pressure with small amount of uriner issue where the UB wall drapes over the high pressure aorta… maybe rescan at full bladder but I dont think anything pathological is present.

I assume that urinalysis is

I assume that urinalysis is normal. If still present on repeat US then considering doing a cystogram.

How about a cystoscope
How about a cystoscope instead of a cystogram?
