Hi- I would like to know if anyone has experience with post gastropexy imaging of the pylorus. I have a 3 yr oldirish wolfhound who had gastric foreign body removed one year ago at that time she had a gastropexy.. she presented a few days ago for vomiting and diarrhea. she was radiographed and some gas in pylorus. today she is improved eating normal feces. we did put the probe on just to check. the pyloric region is quite dilated with the lumen full of liquid ingested material. there is some motility. Is it common for there to be dilation of this region after gastropexy?? thank you

They often have an altered
They often have an altered angle to the pyloric outflow and have outflow delay and often underlying gastric disease so check the gastric bx hopefully performed at surgery. Empirically canned feedings and maybe a helicobacter protocol can help depending on what was present at histopath.
Great this is way more then
Great this is way more then expected dilation. I suspect underlying IBD off to endoscopy! thanks
