– 4 year old MN beagle cross presented with right hind lameness
– no previous history as this is shelter dog and picked up as a stray
– hip and stifle rads unremarkable and no cranial drawer
– a quick pro bono scan of the right knee was perfomed
I think there is effusion in the suprapatellar view? The CCL looks intact?
Could this be an injury? Other?
For now I have recommended a Metacam trial and rest.

yes minor effusion in the third video. The first video the CCL looks in tact but not sure in the second may be a partial tear. I would submit this honestly with full views including meniscus for telemed consultation. if a partial tear then its surgical. You can tap the effusion and culture and analyze as well. Partial CCL tear would make the most sense here if sudden onset.
