What causes these presumed artifacts?

14 year old FS DLH

Littermate died suddenly from presumed HCM

No evidence of  HCM and normal measurements on this cat, but I am seeing a couple things which I believe are artifacts

  1. Is the hyperechoic nodule seen at the level of the TV on LP RA/RAU views just fat?

On the CF the gain is too

On the CF the gain is too high and you get speckling. The membranous septum falls out where its very very thin and can be misconstrued as a vsd but when you put CCF or spectral doppler over it there is no crossing flow.
